Welcome to the Hurley K–8 School

The Hurley K–8 is a Spanish-English immersion school located in Boston’s South End. At the Hurley, we challenge our students to learn in two languages and they achieve high levels in both. Hurley’s hallmarks are an excellent teaching staff, an intensive language arts curriculum, a dedication to math and science fluency, a commitment to the arts, and an innovative afterschool program that exposes our children to a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. This excellence continues and thrives in our Middle School, where 6th through 8th graders grow into innovative thinkers and passionate leaders, inside and outside the classroom.

Our Mission

The mission of the Hurley is to graduate students who perform academically at high levels in two languages, English and Spanish. Because our students are culturally and linguistically diverse, they study, understand, and develop an appreciation for the contributions of numerous cultures to our society.
