Back by popular demand, NPHS is hosting another Día de los Muertos party.

Please join us on Saturday, November 7 at 8 PM at Jen Ashburn’s house, 1688 Washington St, Apt 1, Boston. Food will be catered by El Centro and we’ll have a signature margarita for all to enjoy. Costumes are encouraged! Spend $90 or more per ticket and you’re automatically entered into a drawing for a door prize. And everyone will take home a sweet pan de muerto for Sunday breakfast.

¡Club TropiCaliente!… “This is the one fundraiser I look forward to every year!” said a guest. The Latin band is jamming, the dance floor is electric, the locally donated food is scrumptious and plentiful, the open bar is stocked, and the auction items are hot! Harvard Business Students Get Their Hands Dirty

A group of students from the Harvard Business School class of 2015 came to the Hurley school on Friday, April 11th to clean up the grounds for the spring. Led by parent volunteers, they picked up trash, spread mulch, planted flowers, pruned trees and tidied up borders. After their efforts, our campus was clean and tidy and ready for spring!

Middle School News

The middle school scholars have been diligently working away in all of their classes, especially in Humanities! 

The sixth graders are finally moving away from the Early Hominids and entering the Agricultural Revolution! Their debates on whether hierarchical categorization is a positive or detrimental idea are totally inspiring. Their election speeches for Neolithic/Sumerian leadership are so amazing and exciting! First in Math

FIRST IN MATH is an online educational tool used in the Hurley and across the country.

While the emphasis is on the improvement of numerical fluency and mathematical skills, each activity in First in Math is also designed to strengthen problem-solving, reasoning and communication skills. Modules parallel each other; completing Game 1 of any Skill Set unlocks a multitude of bonus games geared to that skill level.
