After School Programs

Bodega de Arte Afterschool Program

The mission of Bodega de Arte (BDA) is to create a supportive bilingual environment where our students have opportunities for expanded academic support and unique enrichment programs. Here is a quick glimpse of our program

  • A typical schedule for full-time Bodega de Arte includes:
    • 2:30–2:45: Community Meeting
    • 2:45–3:45: Enrichment Clubs
    • 3:45–4:00: Snack
    • 4:00–5:15: ¡Progresa! (Academics)
    • 5:15–5:45: ¡Actívate! (Health and Fitness)
    • 5:45–6:00: Clean up and ready for Pick up
  • Program Costs
    • $135/5 days
    • $110/4 days
    • $95/3 days
    • Unfortunately, BDA does not accept EEC vouchers
  • BDA runs Monday through Friday from 3:10 pm-6 pm. (Our program is not open when BPS has vacation or snow days)
  • We work with many outside partnerships to strengthen our community including:
    • Strong Women, Strong Girls, Peace Through Play, Sole Train, and BUILD Tutors from Boston University.

After School Enrichment Workshops

After school enrichment workshops run during three seasonal 10-week sessions from 3:10-4:30pm on various days of the week. Workshops are available to students in grades K2-6. Students can enroll in multiple workshops and multiple sessions throughout the year. Workshops are priced on a sliding scale based on family income to ensure access to all students. The following programs are offered:
  • Swimming Lessons
  • Chess
  • Coding
  • Robotics
  • Musical Theater
  • Chorus
  • Painting
  • General Art
  • Soccer
  • Basketball

Boston Music Project String Orchestra

The Boston Music Project after school string orchestra operates Tuesdays and Thursdays each week from 3:10-4:45pm for the entire school year. Orchestra is available to students in grades K1-8. Students can choose to play the cello, violin or viola. Instruments are provided. Students are taught in a group setting and are given multiple opportunities to perform throughout the year. The fee for orchestra is based on family income to ensure access to all students.
